Elite Keylogger 5. Updating guide.

This post is for all our beloved clients staying with WideStep for all these years and helping us sustain the development in these harsh times of holy wars with the powerful ones. Yes, we are very close to releasing Elite Keylogger 5.0 with full support of 64-bit editions of Windows OS. Yes, it’s finally true that we were able to obtain the needed digital signature to be able to run the best low-core keylogger ever in a protected environment of 64-bit Windows. We are still not sure about Windows 8 though; investigation is going on!

However, there are some tips you need to know about if you are running any previous version of Elite Keylogger…

If you are using Elite Keylogger 3.x, 2.x, or older:

Automatic update: Not available. You will need to remove the older copy of Elite Keylogger manually and run a clean installation of version 5. It will be a paid update for you.

If you are using Elite Keylogger 4.x on Windows XP:

Automatic update: Available. Just select the corresponding option in Elite Keylogger’s installer to get your copy updated to version 5 automatically.

If you are using Elite Keylogger 4.x on Windows Vista or 7:

Automatic update: Not available. You will be asked to run a clean installation and manually remove the previous version of Elite Keylogger.

Is it a free update?

If you obtained a license of Elite Keylogger Standard, this will be a paid update for you. If you are running Elite Keylogger PRO and you purchased the license before February 21st, 2012, this update will NOT be free for you either. If you paid for your license of Elite Keylogger PRO after February 21st, 2012, update to version 5 is absolutely free for you.

In any case, you need to contact us for update instructions if you already own a license with WideStep.

Note: purchased licenses of Quick or Handy Keylogger do not qualify for any discounted update to Elite Keylogger.
